Grievances

We endeavour to do the best that we possibly can for each child respecting family expectations at all times. However, there may be a time where an issue arises which needs to be addressed or clarified. It is important that small issues do not have the opportunity to  grow into grievance/complaints at any time. We encourage families to raise any concern as soon as practicably possible directly to the educator involved, your child’s lead educator or the nominated supervisor/director. It is important that the service hears your thoughts to improve the service practice or alert us to practice that is not appropriate and not in the best interest of children, families or the service.

If you cannot speak to the person/educator involved please see the director via phone. The manager’s phone number is always available for any matter of concern in the foyer that cannot wait for the return of the director to the service when a meeting can be organised at your convenience. Alternatively, if the matter is not something the director can assist you with due to her/his involvement, the contact number of the president is also available in the committee information also in the foyer.

Complaints can also be in written form and sent to either the director or president of the management committee at

P.O. Box 73, Wallsend NSW 2287, by calling 02 4951 5995, or via email to director@merindah.org.au .

Alternatively, if you feel the matter is unable to be raised at the service level please direct your complaint to:  Early Childhood Education and Care Directorate, NSW Department of Education and Communities
